POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

 

Total Balance Fitting:

 Our  evaluation includes a full review of your horses back and  saddle.   We then determine to use our own superior developed techniques to do a customized balancing of combined saddle and horse.  Once the saddle is totally balanced, we review the rider perform his ride in the saddle for 5-10 minutes to  see if any further adjustments are necessary.  A return visit  to the farm is required after 8-10 hours of riding in the newly fitted and balanced saddle for further evaluation.  Most fittings can be done onsite, and take less than an 1 hour,  and come with our guarantee. 

 Consultations & Evaluations are FREE - (Farm Call Fee Applies)

We will evaluate your current saddle and your horse’s back, taking measurements as necessary; and give you our professional opinion of the same. If it is decided that a different saddle is needed, we will give you some tips and advice in what to look for in your purchase.

The Rice Saddlery GUARANTEE:

Total Balancing -  Includes  a (1) year guarantee from the date of initial balancing performed by Rice Saddlery, LLC, on the same  (horse& saddle combination).  Within that  lst  year, all evaluations  are FREE. Farm call fee applies,  N/C  for adjustments made or materials used in balancing are replaceable at N/C  within that (1)  year time period. 

Note:  after (1) year, appointments are considered “new”, however, any time adjustments are needed to the same saddle and horse combination.   This  fee is discounted to a $75 material fee,  (plus a discounted farm call fee).  This fee applies to the lifetime of the same saddle & horse combination.

 

FAQ's:

• Our balancing techniques does not compromise the quality or durability of the tree and/or saddle and does not cause pressure points.  This problem will be alleviated. 
• We will only customize a saddle that is a   "Reasonable Fit."
• Included in Total Balancing is a Re-check after 8-10 hours of riding*
• We suggest to have your saddle fit evaluation performed  1-2 times per year.   Horses weight  goes up or down, depending on their  environment and fitness and  averaging  between 75-100 lbs, and varies on each horse.
• Total Balanced Fittings  are possible for the same saddle to be used on different horses.
• Most Total Balanced Fittings are done onsite however, there are some exceptions.   The average  time frame for normal saddle fitting is 1 hour or less.
• Total Balanced Fittings come with a guarantee.
• Our network of all types of quality used saddles are available for purchase.  You may list your saddle type with no additional fees.
